Privacy Policy.
Effective: June 23, 2026
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data RateFlow collects, how it's used, and your rights.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to operate the app and improve your experience:
Account data: Nothing — RateFlow does not require an account to use. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple and Google.
Usage data: Anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics if you opt into analytics. We use Sentry for crash reporting.
No tracking: RateFlow does not track your conversions, currencies, or any personal financial data.
How We Use Your Data
Any data collected is used only for:
Improving app stability (crash reports)
Understanding which features are used (anonymous analytics)
Responding to support inquiries if you contact us
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Third-Party Services
RateFlow uses the following third-party services:
Frankfurter API — exchange rate data (open source, no tracking)
Sentry — crash reporting (opt-in, anonymous)
Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing and app distribution
Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not control their data practices.
Data Storage & Security
Exchange rates are cached locally on your device using Hive. No rate data is sent to our servers. Preferences (theme, decimal precision) are stored locally via SharedPreferences.
We implement industry-standard security practices to protect any data transmitted between the app and our services.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
Access any personal data we hold about you
Request deletion of your data
Object to processing of your data
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
Since RateFlow does not require an account and collects minimal data, most of these rights are already fulfilled by design. To exercise any remaining rights, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
RateFlow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
